I’m not a big reader, although I’m sure some penguins would at least like to be read to. I am, however, a big fan of learning new things, usually by exploration – it’s the more adventurous method.
The last time I hit the bookstore I discovered this book display. It a series called “Oxford very short introductions” and is a collection of short summary type books covering a huge variety of topics. Reminds me of Cliff notes… you know, those books Mom wouldn’t let you read when you were supposed to read the real full book to do a report?
Anyway, what is most entertaining to me is the array of topics to choose from…

Check this out: Dinosaurs or AIDS, Capitalism or the Brain…

Or maybe you fancy a little Quantum Theory after you read about Sexuality – or before… the topics are all over the place, I’m sure you can find something that interests you, without having to move more than your forearm to turn the display – maybe your left eyeball.
What gap in your knowledge would you like to fill today?
Sidenote: I’m sure penguin publishing has something to say about this, but I didn’t find a fun display at the bookstore and off the top of my head I can’t name a collection that fits this discription – so my penguin book pals will have to get over the commentary.
