Penguin waddles through Boston

I recently returned from a fabulous trip to Boston. I was attending a conference with the camera girl, so I was able to meet another great list of wonderful people. I also spent some time waddling around town – what a wonderful city Boston is!

This is me getting ready to ride my first water taxi heading towards the Seaport convention center…. with a view of downtown behind me. Yes, I said water taxi. For those of you that are landlocked like I am, this was an exciting and fun concept. I could ride a water taxi all day!

I saw a lot of amazing things around the city… many of which we forgot to take photos of. But leave it to the camera girl to catch a shot of the quirky…

yes, that’s me sitting in the middle. You’d think she never saw a sewer before. She says its the brick sidewalks and cobble stone… the history under your feet.. that’s what this photo is all about. I personally think she just likes giggling about poop.

We continued on our sight seeing adventure, following a map which we kept turning upside down or backwards, which ended up being a different part of town all together. But the exploring was fun anyway.

We followed a little bit of the freedom trail throughout parts of the city. Made it to see Paul Revere’s grave, the New England Aquarium, Chinatown and the downtown marketplace (more photos later).

we were running out of time before we had to meet friends for dinner, so we didn’t make it to the park and garden areas, but we did walk by Boston Common.

I’d love to go back and spend more time in this city. The combination of contemporary and historical are wonderfully mixed. I barely got a sampling of the food… oh me oh my!
