Penguins and Buffalos
Ever get the feeling you’re being watched? Ever wonder what it would be like to be a dog and do that funky butt sniffing routine?
Well, this is me and the big buffalo… I’d like to think he’s just sniffing my head feathers…
This is actually a really cool statue. It’s called the hand of Man and is found near Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake, just outside of Ogden, Utah.
The signs reads:
A symbolic representation of all the lives of humans, dependant upon and supported by the buffalo over the ages, which almost caused its extinction. The turquois hand prints over the heart and forehead symbolizes man’s intervention in saving the buffalo. Turquois green is an Egyptian and universal color associated with life and rebirth.
