Penguin loves Bubba Gump Shrimp

So you already know I adore shrimp.. well I went with some friends to the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company in Breckenridge, Colorado…

WOW does Bubba know how to do shrimp. I mean seriously yummy! Whatever type of shrimp you want, Bubba has it.. and he really does love his shrimp… I met one of them.. it told me so!

Anyway.. I also enjoyed a beverage.. pink lemonade - wink wink

yes, mom, I had some brocoli. You have to really pay attention when I point out this veggie.. look at the size of it. It’s like being asked to eat an entire yard of shrubbery! I could have just eaten the broccoli and nothing else and survived for 2 weeks in the wilderness. Insanely large greenery!

And last, but surely not least in any sense of the word… my shrimp. Oh the joy of my shrimp… coconuted, tempora-ed, fried and cold but unpeeled… so scrumptious!

Penguin is now a trainer

So maybe you’ve heard… I’m going to be hanging out with the camera girl and a pile of her online friends as they all walk in the Seattle 3-day breast cancer walk in September. I personally am quite fit and ready to take on any challange. The camera girl, however likes to sit and eat bon bons all day while she doodles and does not much of anything else

So, I’ve taken it upon myself to be there for her when she trains. I’m quite proud, she’s getting off her hiney and walking a little. YAY!

So this is me, sitting on the treadmill panel coaching her on. 4.22 miles in 65 minutes -

that 350 is calories. I’m pretty sure those all burned out through sweat alone, but don’t tell her I said that. ~wink

The Penguin on the 16th Street Mall

This is me on a fun funky piece of art down in 16th Street Mall, Denver, Colorado. All along the mall there are trees and benches and just nice places to hang out on a nice day — grab a coffee and just go sit and chat. There are also these concrete tables that have mosaic maps of sorts of the downtown area. I thought they were neat, so I stopped to grab a photo of 2 of them…

This one has columns on the left with a yellow dome building, that’s the city center building. Then there is the clock tower up there on the lower right.

This one has a fun image to represent Coors Field, the baseball stadium, along with some other neat areas of LoDo.

I think Denver is a cool city!

Penguin MIA?

No no, I’m not missing nor am I anywhere near any kind of action, let alone involved in it. I’m just over here chillin’. Hanging with my peeps (they’re camera shy, sorry, no photos for you).

Penguin’s Perfect Home

With so much gardening just beinging and the birds chirping outside, I was feeling a little left out… then it occurred to me, I just need a place of my own to sit and hang out sometimes. Look what I found, the perfect house, completely with a picket fence and a tree!

It could use a little paint for sure!

Happy May Day from the Penguin

April showers bring May flowers and May 1st is supposed to be for surprise candy. Well, instead, I have some perdy blooms for you… ain’t that just grand! I hope you have a most fabulous day - sing and dance, the penguin way!
