Penguin and the art shop

My camera girl sells handmade stuffs from time to time at a little shop called Willow in downtown littleton, Colorado. The other day I tagged along to visit the shop and see what it’s all about.

COOL stuffs I say! This little shop, the artisan’s market, is jammed packed with fun and funky handmade art pieces. Some just for decor and some is wacky cool clothing and jewelry. There’s also a little bit of the traditional pottery and cards, etc. I love this shop!

Then there’s the reason we went to visit… the camera girl’s handmade earrings tres cute for the cute girly girl

yes, there’s a pumpkin up there - every day is a holiday around here!

And there’s the shop mascot… or guard dog I suppose.. Sparky. We love Sparky

There is so much to see at Willow you could easily spend an hour in this store just looking around. Currently there is no online shop, but with everything being a one of kind, it’s absolutely worth a visit if you’re in town

Penguin Packages to Our Pals

Since I’ve been back at home I thought it might be better if there was more penguin love around the world. So I’ve gathered up a few penguin friends and we’ve been busy sending off packages of penguins all over the globe. Check out this stack of packages…

We took a trip to the post office to say our goodbyes…

The post office is especially fun. I sat on the do-it-yourself postage scale thing… NO I’m not going to tell you how much I weigh!

Then I checked for mail in my box… no love for me. After all I do for you, I got nothing in my box. But how cool is this, I fix perfectly!

The Penguin free to roam again in time for World Penguin Day!

Last night, I was rescued by the Loxly Gallery butterfly.. So now I’m back and ready to run to all kinds of new places.

(Really I never left) I’m not THE only me in the universe you know ~wink (I have many brothers and sisters, and we like to trade places).. so sneaking out and playing for a few days, no one will ever know where I really am.. when I’m here or when I’m not. I had a lot of fun playing with Rolet… there’s probably more fun to come from that direction.

So, I was in New York yesterday… and back home in Colorado today - YAY!

Now here I am just in time to celebrate World Penguin Day with all my pals!

I’m so glad that I have friends I can visit around the world. You all are so fabulous - LOVE YOU!

Penguin Posses and Fairy Kisses

Over the weekend I (the camera girl) took the penguin to visit a fairy garden. We took some great photos, but I didn’t realize until this morning how important that trip would turn out to be.

In light of the current situation - penguin kidnapped and in the hands of another claiming I don’t treat the penguin right - I’ve decided to share the insight from our fairy visit…

As you know, fairies are not only magical mystical beings, they’re loving and quite protective. They’re delighted to play and sing and dance with others who are happy… sadness and gloom is something they avoid. So how could penguin possibly spend time with the fairies if he is unhappy???

The head fairy even gave The Penguin a kiss of happiness and well wishes.

And the insight in it all I share as a message to the penguin kidnappers…

The penguin’s got a posse and they’re coming for him… consider yourself warned!

The Penguin has been taken hostage!!

Oh No - oh Dear - oh Help!

Word just came through the way of web rumor weaving.. the penguin has been taken hostage by Rolet

Looks to me like its no rumor. They are claiming the penguin has been treated badly … no, it can’t true! I’m sure they just misunderstand.

What should I do? Can you help?

No idea what they are up to or why they would want to seize my poor sweet lil’ penguin. I take good care of him. He’s loved every day. Did he complain and they rescued him? Did he run off thinking he would join the circus but found delight in the world of internet-ness instead? I’m sure it’s all a big pile of confusion…

oh ack! Be brave little penguin, I will save you!

I need a plan. Stay tuned.

Penguin and Zamboni

Zamboni, Zamboni, Oh how I love Zamboni. Seems like I love of a lot of things doesn’t it? Maybe I’m a heart on my sleeve kinda bird. Zambonis mean hockey and OH JOY I reallllly love hockey!

There’s actually two in this picture. One from Frontier Airlines and the other from Coors Beer. 1 Guess what arena I’m at ~wink. Next time, I’ll be hoping to get a ride!

I went to a birthday party last night and had a great time.

There was food and fun and more fun and cake and ice cream and more fun and presents and fun and oh yeah… I had a lot of cake.

now there is no more cake - you gotta be quick around here if you want any of the good stuff

Penguin finds some sidewalk art

I was waddling along and almost tripped over this groovey fun sidewalk art. No idea why it was here, what the point is or who made it… but I think it’s just lovely. This is steel images embedded in the concrete square. It looks like a compass to me. This photo is from Downtown Denver, Colorado.

The Penguin Shops The Gap

I went shopping the other day with some of my friends and I found myself having loads of fun at Gap and Gap Kids. The baby clothes are adorable — too bad they don’t come in penguin sizes

I found myself quite entertained with some of the displays… First I had to check out my beautiful self in the full length mirror. So glad they had one this size so I could adequately see my whole self.

Then I found a comfy seat on the sweatshirts. Love the colors - blue s absolutely my fav… and WOW these things are soft and squishy, perfect for napping!

Then over in the kids side of the store were these two cool people-like displays. I wonder how long I could have sat there before anyone noticed… hmmmm.
