The Penguin the Day After Easter

I had a great Easter weekend! Saturday I helped my little friends make Easter treats for friends and neighbors.

Jellybeans are awesome!

Saturday night I hung out while the kids colored eggs. Then I waited up for the Easter bunny so I could help hide the eggs.

Oh yes, we go way back. this is me subbing in for my favorite bunny pal a few years ago…

Sunday I tagged along to visit “grammie’s house” and have a little Easter dinner - steak and chicken on the BBQ — I just ate the shrimp

Is it just me, or do they both look like they play a lot of “I’m a Little Teapot”?

I love grammie’s house.

It was a fabulously fun weekend hanging out with my favorite family. Now I am in disparate need of nap… it’s not a penguin, but it’s my favorite Easter shirt!

The Penguin and the Parade

For St. Patty’s Day I hung out with a friend of mine in New York. We checked out the parade - I had such a great time!

That’s the Irish flag (just in case you’re unsure)

Bagpipes.. wow those boys can blow!

And the parade just kept coming and coming.

So fun!

And NO, I am not blurry, that’s your own eyesight - you’ve been drinking too much Guinness

Penguins REALLY Love Hockey!

I went to a hockey game at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado to watch the Devils and the Avalanche.

This is the Pepsi Center - it’s a cool building.

This is me on the mountain of Pepsi ball. No idea what they really call this thing… but I think it sure looks cool.

We had great seats… 13 rows up from the glass - yay!

The Avs lost 2 to 4 but at least I can say I went to a game this season. I had a great time!

Big Penguin Thanks to the ASW08 Team!

Thank you all for such a great event. Affiliate Summit West 2008 was a great success in my world. I met a ton of great new people. Caught up with familiar faces and spent time with some old friends. It was all fantastic.

Jim Kukral did a great job as MC - he added such a great vibe to the scene.

Penguin’s Favorite Speaker

My all time favorite speaker is Wil Reynolds (Seer Interactive). Wil speaks about search engine optimization and online marketing. He’s upbeat, easy to listen to and fantastic at getting to the point. He speaks like a normal human being and even jokes while he’s talking. Imagine that! The man has a fabulous personality.

Both times I have heard Wil speak I’ve learned enough to make the whole trip worth while.

There’s seems to be plenty more men at Affiliate Summit than women, maybe someone needs to start a girls group, I don’t know. The girls do pretty good on their own.

Mr. Aleks (Mark or James.. eeek, I don’t know!) with Fountain of Youth - He’s a near neighbor of mine and Jarl Moe with CPUnion.com - I could listen to the Norwegian accent all day.

This guy - now get this, I met tons of people, all a festive moment to talk with… this guy I grabbed spur of the moment and he even gave me a thumbs up and thats all I have. Antley, I think his last name is Antley. If you can name this name AND get me an email address he replies to, I’ll send you a t-shirt.. featuring.. um… me

and last but definitely not least is Adam Riemer. Adam is so fun to hang out with. He’s fun to watch and fun to listen to.. he cracks me up. This is a picture of the two of us holding his new prized posession.. a sparkly cup with an even more sparkly “pimp” along the middle. Ha! He’s so funny. Good to see you again Adam!

Oh how I adore the Australian accent!

Scott Jangro (MechMedia.com) - I didn’t talk to Scott for very long, but I have since been following him on twitter… he’s a an entertaining guy, I think I need to catch up with him next time for more than 2.37 minutes!

Gary Vaynerchuk (WineLibrary.com) - Gary was trying to prove penguins can really fly… Yeah, he makes me laugh… but it might only be out of nervous fear. The free falling was fun!

I can’t forget the bartender. What’s happy hour without him? So careful not to squish me… beer and squishing can do some embarrassing things ya know.

I had a lot of fun talking with each of these people. I hope to see them again.
