Penguins love cheesecake

Did I already mention that I’m a sucker for cheesecake? What’s a little traveling without a pile of yummy food… right?

So I have to share… check out this delicious “bite-sized” treat. How many of you can say you ate a cake as big as you and continued on to smile about it?? (yeah, go ahead an tried, i’ve heard the bloated complaints).

I’d like to point out it’s quite decieving.. you really have no idea how tiny or enormous this plate is, but I’m telling you now, that bite size was scrumptious none-the-less!

Penguin Thanks to Billy Kay

So have you noticed the amount of photos I have to post? This is only the beginning I might add…. well when pictures are taken and names aren’t tattooed to one’s flipper, sometimes it’s easy to have a brain fart and forget who is who. My dear friend Billy Kay has been there to help me today.

The Penguin and CafePress

I was originally born on Cafepress… well not ON CP, but I was born and instantly landed on CP.

I’ve since gained an enormous wardrobe and found extra homes all over the web (myspace, facebook, printfection…) . But regardless of where I go, my beginnings will always be thanks to CafePress. So when I heard their affiliate program manager was going to be at the conference… I HAD to meet him.This is Steve with CP aka Steve Root…

He is a fantastic guy - I really enjoyed our conversation. We swapped so many ideas and thoughts I don’t know who’s brain had explosive potential first. He was more prepared than I… he brought a note pad and pen. I can’t wait to see where the program goes this year!

We met at the American Grill in the Rio, had some snacks, some drinks and I also took the opportunity to heckle our waiter, who kindly took a photo with me too.

sidenote: there were actually two women with me at the time, but they’re all a little camera shy - go figure - they sure are fun to hang with

The Penguin Partying with the Pros

I headed to a party in a suite at the Palms in Las Vegas and WOW there were a ton of people!

Me arriving on the scene…

Some people I knew already but many I did not. But by the end of the night I had met quite a few more people.. it was a great time. My favorite part (besides the people of course) there was a cheesecake bar - served up just like ice cream sundaes.

I loved hanging out at the piano… or on the piano I guess… it was right next to a fabulous indoor/outdoor pool and in the center of all the action.

From what I’ve heard, past parties hosted by ShareASale.com, Brian Littleton jams out on the piano. However, this time around I was not a witness to such an event… I’d assume it had something to do with a healing finger… hmm, could be.

Some of the people I saw…

Missy Ward - after months of preparing for the Affiliate Summit event, she had a chance to get all dolled up - ready to party!

Angel Djambazov - I really enjoy hanging out with Angel. He’s always there to lend advice with a smile.

One of his many duties right now includes managing the affiliate program for Jones Soda - can you say - ewww YUM!? (this one happens to be bubble gum… yay!)

Then I ran into Asif Malik with GoldenCan.com - he’s known for being THE BEST dancer in the industry - he man is dancing every time I see him… he loves it. It’s fabulous!

This is Anne Fognano from Clevermoms.com one of the best dressed women of the night… she was quite fancy with her sparkly necklace, I had to take a closer look.

And Rexanne… she always makes me smile!

Of course I had to take a picture with the bartender - he makes a great replacement for my favorite amaretto sour… no idea what the replacement was called.

after roaming the scene for a bit I ran into Roger Snow _ whom I’ve met a few times, good to see another familiar smilie face.

Then I ran into Beth Kirsh - she’s smiling because I’m so cute and tiny of course.

Finally I had a happy chat with Dr. Beautiful with FoodBeautiful.com. It was his amazing power tie that first caught my eye. Come to find out, he lives just a hop, skip and a waddle away.

Well that’s the list for the moment… there’s many more I met, but I think my flippers need a typing break.

The Penguin Meets Popshops

I’d say Popshops.com is one of my favorite services for the internet/affiliate marketing industry.

Really, I just wanted to meet them to see if that chick was as cute in person as she is online…

So I met Jessie - the woman in charge. I’ve never met anyone so down to earth… she’s great!

… and look, she even found this perfect pocket to carry me around.

Then I met Dan - he is the guru geek of the crew. An amazing mind that one has I tell ya!

I’m pretty sure I was holding on for dear life at that angle.. but all turned out well.

Good to hang with the popshops.com crew!

I toodled over to the ShareASale.com table at the networking “meet market” event on Sunday. The company was hosting a party Sunday night so I needed to grab my ticket before the tickets were all gone.

I took a moment to said hello to

Brian Littleton - A brilliant mind in the industry and just as approachable as a big ice cream sundae. I actually met Brian a few years ago at this same conference and then again this past October at a “Think Tank” event. (I’ve put on some weight since the last meeting, but look, we still came away with a great photo.)

I’ve even been known to put on a special shirt at one point… just because I love ShareASale.com so much…

Yes, I agree, blue is a good color for me.

This is Sarah…

Sarah - she manages a number of the affiliate programs at ShareASale.com - (she had the fun job of handing out goodies and prizes at the conference too… I got some whale slippers!)

Later, at the party Share a Sale hosted, I met Michael Littleton. Of course I asked if he was the genius geek in the group, and this is the grin I got in return…

Edit: This is David - I need to publically apologize for originally forgetting to add him to the scene here - He was a day 3 at the conference photo, and when I added this post, I hadn’t even made it through day 1 one. eeeeek, sorry David - you rock!

This was the first time I was able to meet Nate , Michael or David,  all extremely smiley guys and a lot of fun to talk to. The ShareASale.com crew is a fabulous team, I’m glad I had my camera - just to prove they have to have the absolute best place of employment. Why else would they all be smiling so much??

Vegas Baby!

It’s a bad idea to be hanging out in Las Vegas and not putting at least a dollar in a machine. So, I headed to the Palms

for a party and stopped to put one dollar in a machine.

Ok, I spent $2.00 - seriously that’s all - I hate to lose cash.

Long distance pals

I met up with a few friends of mine that I don’t get to see all that often. They live far and away so we only talk through email and chat. When we do get a chance to go and play face to face its a really special day.

Sue is the happy gift giver behind My Glorious Gifts and she even arrived with a special Swiss Chocolate treat for me - oh yay! Chocolate is better than fish any day

We decided we needed to start getting ready for the big party of the night, so I got slipped into a pocket and away we went. The pocket is owned by the designer of Lesruba Designs.

So off we went to party in vegas - oh fun!
